GHOST/SHIP Pool Service - ARTIST SERIES Skate Deck

The GHOST/SHIP POOL SERVICE Deck is an Artist Collab with James " Barf" Callahan and BARF Comics, and features a directional-style shape made for skating pools, ramps, parks, and curbs, designed in the traditional 80’s ramp and street skating style, with an added extended nose which allows for switch stance and nollie-focused trickery.  From Soundside Skatepark to Mike's Bowl and Boogie's backyard heavens to Currituck’s back woods and beyond, the Outer Banks, Virginia Beach and our surrounding community gives full Pool Service with real pool builders, cleaners, and all out destroyers. No rules, no refs, and no commentators, except maybe FAVA clownin’ someone from the sidelines between switch feebles.

The GHOST/SHIP Pool Service Story 

The Ghost Ship Pool Service deck features the incredible artwork of GS Crew Artist James "Barf" Callahan, highlighting the deep culture of backyard pools that is baked into the DNA of the OG Ghost Ship Crew, sometimes referred to as the Lost Generation. In fact, backyard pools are so endemic to the Outer Banks and Virginia Beach, that our crew all skate, build, or even clean pools on the daily.

Famed pool and park builders Artisan Skateparks hail from the Outer Banks, and many of their pool builders are down with the crew. GHOST/SHIP Pro Durand Beasley, also a pool builder with Artisan, actually headed the team that built Barf Callahan's skateable pool in his own backyard. The GS Pool Service deck was inevitable.

The concept was created by GHOST/SHIP founder Andy Howell as a celebration of the generational pool riding culture of the Outer Banks and midwestern coastal states, and as a personal homage to his original Virginia Beach Pool Service crew of skaters from the 80s.
